Walk in My Shoes

For the school districts annual student art show all of the teachers were given a canvas shoe and an famous artist.  The assignment - to decorate that shoe in the assigned artists style. The shoes would be part of a larger installation entitled "A Walk Through Art History."  My shoe is decorated in the unique style of the French Post-impressionist Georges Seurat. I chose his 1889 painting "Eiffel Tower" as my inspiration, using a Q-tip to apply the acrylic paint in tiny dabs and dots. I chose cool colors and added some bling as my artists touch.
