After graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Art, I floundered a bit working as a secretary, accounting clerk and office manager before returned to collage for another degree. During this time I went through some difficult experiences and as a result created a lot of very dark art that kind of reflected me trying to find myself. I also found out that Miles, one of my first loves, had died unexpectedly. Although we had been apart for quite a while, it effected me in a dark way. This, on top of my black mood, made for some great conceptual artwork. The following posts include some of my favorites from that time.

* I was so impatient in my 20's and wanted to get the "fun part" (facial features) right away, so I often neglected actually finishing the rest of the piece.
Acheron

This is my interpretation of Acheron, one of the five rivers that flow through the realm of Hades.
Acheron means River of Pain.
